Commander Playmats

New Commander Mats Now Available!

A few months ago, I made an update asking for feedback on new Commander mats and giving some hints that I might be launching another project this year.

Well, I have good news and bad news.

The bad news is, I won't be doing another Commander Playmats project on Kickstarter this year.

The good news is, I'm working on something even better.

Even more good news: the Playmats that I had been saving for the Kickstarter are now available in the OMA Store at a price cheaper than I could ever offer through Kickstarter ($32 instead of $40).

All of these new Commander mats, with the exception of Feather, are ready to ship out today.

We offer free US Domestic shipping for orders over $75, so you can order 3 mats or combine one or more with any of the Mats, Tokens, and Artwork we offer in the OMA Store

Here are all seven new Commander mats in all their glory.

We are still working on many of the suggestions you sent in with the last update.

I hope to launch the new process for Magic mats soon, which will include many of the Commanders that you mentioned before.

Working on a New Commander Playmats Kickstarter

Hey Commander Playmats Backers,

With the success of the project last year, and an unending desire to get more awesome mats made, I've been working on another project with all new Commanders.

Here is the list I've come up with so far, most of which are in some level of approval:

• The Gitrog Monster (I'm so happy to make this one possible)
• Najeela, the Blade-Blossom
• Xantcha, Sleeper Agent (With extended art)
• Emmara, Soul of the Accord (With extended art)
• Varina, the Lich Queen
• Gonti, Lord of Luxury
• Jaya Ballard
• Feather the Redeemed
• Marrow-Gnawer

I have a few more in mind, but I haven't received definitive "Yes's" from the artists yet.

What I need from you, is some suggestions of what Commanders I should go after for the next project (likely launching in September).

What Commanders would you want to see in Playmat form?  What mats do you think others would want to see?

Shipping Complete!

It took a little longer than expected, but were are now 100% complete with fulfilling rewards for the Commander Token Kickstarter.

I want to thank you for making this project possible.  

13 Playmats printed, $9,750 sent directly to the artists, and over 400 backers working together to make Holiday gifts a priority.  Truly special and I'm so grateful for your support.

I am busy getting the Playmats listed in the OMA Store, as well as working on the next few projects.  I've already got more Commander Playmats in the works, but I'm still determining if Kickstarter is the best way to roll them out.  Let me know what you think in the comments!

Speaking of Kickstarter, our next token project, launching in May, is pretty exciting.  I don't have the force of will to spoil it, but if the natural order holds, it should make every guru proud.  See you then!

Status Update (93% Fulfilled)

With us now into February, I wanted to send out an update on where we stand with the Commander Playmat Kickstarter fulfillment.

So far, we've shipped out 449 of 482 Rewards and are just waiting on a few more artists to send back their signed mats.

Jason Chan was out of town for work but recently sent me a message that he is now working on the mats.

Mark Zug has received his mats and is working on them.

I am waiting on the snow to clear up in our area to schedule a time with Todd Lockwood to get the last of the Niv-Mizzet and Prossh mats signed.

Once those arrive at the OMA offices, we'll get the remainder of the Rewards shipped out and on their way.

Tentative ETA, some time next week.

I just checked the survey status and we still have several surveys still showing incomplete.  Reminders were just sent out, so please follow the instructions if you receive one and get your survey completed.

New Year, New Update

Happy New Year!

So far, we've shipped out 304/467 Rewards and were able to get all of the Holiday Gifts out in time.  I can't thank you enough for your patience and generosity in helping to make that possible.

We are still waiting on the reprints from UltraPro, but I just got final confirmation that they will be finished and ship out on 1/14.  

The Atraxa and Muldrotha mats should arrive at the OMA office on 1/18 and will be shipped out soon afterwards.  The others will be going out to the artists and will ship once they are signed and shipped back to me.

I will send out another update once the final mats have arrived so you can double check that your order has shipped.

If your address has changed since the project ended, or will change before the end of January, please let me know so I can unlock your survey and/or update your address.
